You can cancel your Studyflash subscription at any time effective at the end of your billing period. Here's how, depending on where you originally subscribed:

On the Studyflash website (studyflash.ch):

  1. Log in at studyflash.ch
  2. Go to Account > Settings > Subscription
  3. Click Cancel and confirm

Through the iOS App Store (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Open your device's Settings app (not the Studyflash app)
  2. Tap your name at the top, then choose Subscriptions
  3. Select Studyflash from the list
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm

Through the Google Play Store (Android):

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
  3. Select Studyflash
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm

On mobile devices, subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not inside the Studyflash app. Here's exactly where to find the cancellation option:

iPhone/iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Select Subscriptions
  4. Find Studyflash in the list and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right

Your frustration is completely understandable, especially when an annual subscription renews unexpectedly. As is common with subscriptions, the plan does renew automatically and can usually be managed in the settings.

Please understand that we cannot offer refunds for missed or late cancellations. There are several reasons for this: each payment incurs non-refundable credit card/payment and refund fees, and we also bear infrastructure and support costs on our side. If we were to issue refunds in such cases, these fees would remain entirely with us. Accordingly, the right of withdrawal does not apply either, as this is a contract renewal.

Of course, we have cancelled your subscription so that no further charges will occur.

At the same time, Studyflash has evolved significantly over the past year. In addition to improved flashcards, the following features are now available:

  • Summaries to quickly get an overview
  • Quizzes for active recall
  • Mind maps for visual structuring
  • Podcasts (automatically generated audio summaries)

Why the invoice still came: A subscription automatically renews as long as it isn't cancelled. Once you cancel now, the membership ends at the end of your already paid period and no further amounts will be charged.
