Problem: How do I change the Studyflash interface language?

Solution: Hi,

You can change the Studyflash interface language at any time.

Here's how:

Open Studyflash and click on Account in the sidebar.

Select Settings.

Find the Platform Language option.

Choose your preferred language from the list - that's it!

Problem: My flashcards are in the wrong language / generated in wrong language

Solution: Hi,

I understand it's frustrating when your flashcards appear in a different language than expected.

Unfortunately, the language of a deck can't be changed once it's been generated. To get your flashcards in your preferred language, please:

Delete the current deck (in your deck list, click the three-dot menu or swipe left on mobile and tap "Delete")

Upload your document again

Before starting generation, select your desired output language

The new deck will be created in the correct language.

The language is locked during generation because the AI optimizes content in that language from the start.

Problem: My quiz is in the wrong language

Solution: Hi,

I understand it's frustrating when your quiz isn't in the expected language.

After a deck is generated, the language can't be changed. Please re-upload your document and select the correct output language before starting generation. The new quiz will then be in your desired language.

The language is set during the AI generation process and becomes fixed in the content.

Problem: My MindMaps are in English even though I set German

Solution: Hi,

I understand it's confusing when your MindMaps appear in English despite selecting German.

Unfortunately, the language can't be changed after generation. Please re-upload your source document and explicitly select your desired language as the target language before generating.

The platform sets the language during content creation. If the wrong language was accidentally selected, all generated content remains in that language.

Problem: I uploaded an English PDF but it was translated into German / document translated unexpectedly

Solution: Hi,

Sorry about the mix-up! Once a deck is generated, its language can't be changed.

To get your content in the original language:

Delete the current deck (swipe left on mobile or use the three-dot menu)

Re-upload your document

When the language option appears, select the language you want (e.g., English)

Start generation - your content will now be in the correct language

The language choice is part of the generation process, so re-uploading with the correct selection is the only way to fix it.

To get your study materials in your desired language, please follow these steps:

Create a new deck (or delete the existing one if no longer needed)

Upload your document again

In the generation settings, select your desired language as the output language

Start the generation - your flashcards/quiz/summary will be created in that language

The language is set during generation and can't be changed afterward.

Problem: Flashcards show English->German but I need German->English

I understand you want to flip the language direction for your flashcards.

Unfortunately, the language/direction can't be changed after generation. Please:

Create a new deck

Upload your source material again

When uploading, select the desired output language so the card answers appear in that language

This will create cards with the direction you need.
